Adventure Aquarium Field Trip

We went to the Adventure Aquarium on a Friday. When we got there, we looked at the sharks. We went to the shark pool. I stuck my hand in the water and felt the slimy skin of the sharks. We then went to the penguins. The penguins were my favorite part of the trip because I had never seen a penguin before. We also saw the seals. One was lying on its side. The other seals were swimming around in the water. We saw a lot of fish. There were probably hundreds of different kinds of breeds of fish inside the huge tank. We looked at many different exhibits including the cool rain forest. After we ate lunch, we left the Adventure Aquarium to go back to Crossroads. It was a fun and exciting experience!

Google Calls for Action on Web Limits

Censorship on Google has been hurting profit for foreign countries. It is hurting profit for foreign companies because they rely on the Internet to reach their customers. There has also been a lot of strict Internet policies in China. Because of this, Go Daddy has been declining the registrations of Chinese domain names. The thing that really shocked me was that 25 governments have blocked Google and 40 countries have been actively censoring the Internet. I personally would be very upset if Google or some popular Internet site was blocked. I would be upset because I can't go on those popular sites. Without Google, it will make it harder to do research projects or assignments in school. I am very lucky to live in America where they have very little restrictions on the Internet.

Math and Research Project Paragraph

Math relates to my research project. It relates to my research project because from 1994 to 2001, The Taliban has had control and ruled Afghanistan. The Taliban ruled Afghanistan for 7 years but were soon overthrown by U.S and British forces about 1 month after 9/11. Since 2002, Afghanistan has been rebuilding. Because of this, there has been more peace in Afghanistan.

Google in China

First off, I chose the article "Google in China" because the title interested me. If Google pulled out of China, then the chinese people would lose valuable information and knowledge. They would also lose YouTube. The reason why Google might pull out of China is because of China's online censorship. What this is is if you search something that offends the government, it would be blocked. Imagine not having one of the biggest web-sites in the world that you cannot get into because of where you live! Well in this case YouTube has been repeatedly blocked in China. In my opinion, I would be upset if I lived in China because I would not have access to some of Google and YouTube. Also, if Google pulls out of China, the nation will suffer greatly.
