The movie October Sky showed Science and Math connections because the main character, at first, tried to build a rocket but it blew up. He found a good rocket launching site up on a mountain and built a little house up there. His second time building his rocket succeded but it didn't go high enough. His other rockets failed but later on, he found the problem. He needed a better metal where the fire blows out of. In the end, he finally created a rocket that can go as high as he dreamed it would go. He accomplished his goal. He conquered a lot of hardships during this process like getting the materials to create the house that he later burned down. He also had to make money with his friends to afford the metal so the rocket can go as high as he wanted it to go. The main character showed respect to his father because even though his father only cared about working, he was cooperate. He also argued with him a little bit, but his father finally came to his son launched the rocket. Also, he had to work in the mines when his father had an accident down there. That is why he showed cooperation and respect.

Sickle Cell Anemia Genetic Disease Response

I feel that sickle cell anemia is a terrible disease. People have to undergo a lot of pain for treatment. I hope people find a better and less painful cure for this. It would make people who have this disease feel much more better. I am surprised that it was discovered in 1904 which was not that long ago. It is really heartbreaking because people who have this disease can only live to about 42-48 years of age. 1 out of 5000 people have this disease world wide. Hopefully people will make a cure for this terrible disease so people who have this can live longer!

The Color Blindness Genetic Disease

Color blindness was first discovered about 40 million years ago. Color blindness is commonly caused by heredity.  People who are color blind have problems with seeing colors. People cant tell whether a women is wearing lipstick or not. They have problems distinguishing or telling reds and greens apart or blues and greens apart. There is no treatment for this disease but there are special tinted eyeglasses to help tell colors apart. Fortunately, people cannot die from this disease. 7 percent of males in the United States are color blind and only 4 percent of women are color blind. The European region is more vulnerable to the disease. There are many reasons why color blindness is caused. First, there are red, green, and blue cones. If one cone is absent or is not there, then that means you are color blind. The cones are responsible for coding colors. Color blindness is a disease from the optic nerve or the retina. An idea that people can do to develop new treatments is to make contact lenses that can code the colors in your eyes so people don't have to wear eyeglasses. I feel that this disease isn't as bad as some others, but it is really hard for people to tell some colors apart. I hope they find a cure for color blindness.

Anne Milgram Should Have Used The Sledgehammer on Ticketmaster

The state attorney general, Anne Milgram was said by a critic that "she used a sledgehammer to kill a fly." Anne Milgram was sent a sledgehammer the next day as a joke. She got rid of it right away but chuckled and feared it at the same time. She slapped a vulture with a sledgehammer instead of using it on Ticketmaster.

During the summer of 2007, at the gates of center staging, A black BMW convertible drove up and out jumped a teenager from the driver's seat with a baby-face. Eddie Van Halen walked out of the passenger door. Everyone outside stared, It was Van Halen! A reuinion tour had been announced by the band Van Halen. Later on, a guitar was fired up. "I built a guitar that even i can't destroy," says Van Halen.

A new software for your phone called "Latitude" will be launched on Wednesday. What is "Latitude?" Latitude is a software that lets phone users share their locations. It will help people find where their loved ones are. People can share nothing at all, change their privacy, and their exact location. This can help if you are trying to find out where your family members are or best friends. I think that this software can be very helpful.
